We here at Jaksamlee boxers are against the legislation to stop tail docking. We believe it is an age old prevention to stop tail damage and emotional trauma if the tail is left intact and hurt. We are working with councils that are trying to have the decisions turned around in our favour to continue a prevention that has been around for centuries.

One person was taken to court in NSW for tail banding (like they do to sheep) and he won his case as the judge believed the puppy was not actually docked (being cut) as banding is still legal for sheep. But this was one judge, whos to say that other judges don't follow suit, but you will get the judges that will agree with the R.S.P.C.A. and heavy fines will be inflicted.

All our puppies that leave Jaksamlee Boxers will be left natural for now and dew claws are removed until we have a win and are able to dock/band again.

We are not happy with this decision but are trying hard to change the way these protesters think so if you see a petition or something that could help us win the fight against tail docking/banding please take the time to fill it in as these puppies are YOUR future.
